Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka from Minsk (the capital of Belarus), was the son of Sergey. The father of her Sergey (d. in 2019) was an athlete in ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk on 5 May 1998. Aryna is the holder of twelve WTA Singles titles. One of which was named 'Grand Slam' at the Australian Open 2023. In doubles, she is an excellent player. She's won two Majors in the past with Elise Mertens, The US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. The Sunshine Double was achieved by Elise Mertens and her in 2019. Together, they won WTA 1000s in Indian Wells & Miami. Only four couples were able to achieve this feat in women's doubles. In January 2023, she surpassed her top ranking in singles. On the 23rd of August 2021, she rose into the top two spot of world rankings. When she played doubles, she managed to push herself to the top of the list at the beginning of February that year after the victory in Melbourne making her the second tennis player born in Belarus to make it in this particular area. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis star, coached her from the 2018 season until the end and part of her 2020 campaign. Dieter Kindlmann was also her coach for short periods during the months of August through September 2020. Antonio Dubrov is her coach as of the start of 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova have been her inspirations.
